Terms of Service

1.1 Find Film is a free directory of shops that sell film, develop film, and sell or repair film cameras. It is for information only. We don't sell anything through Find Film, and we are not a party to anything you arrange with a shop.

1.2 Listings can be wrong or out of date. Information comes from shops, our team, users and public sources. Each fact shows who last confirmed it (the store, Find Film, or a user) and when. A store's own confirmation counts for 13 months. Any other fact that nobody has confirmed in 180 days is marked as unconfirmed but still shown. Please check directly with a shop, for example its hours or what it has in stock, before you rely on a listing or make a trip.

1.3 We are not responsible for shops: their products, services, prices, processing results, premises or conduct. Any dealings you have with a shop are between you and the shop.

1.4 We may change, suspend or stop any part of Find Film at any time.

2.1 You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

2.2 You sign in with your email address and a one-time code that we email to you. Keep your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You are responsible for what is done through your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.

2.3 Use only an email address that you control. Don't create an account for someone else, and don't use more than one account to get around limits.

3.1 You may claim a listing only if you own the business or are authorized by it to manage its listing. By claiming a listing, you confirm that this is true.

3.2 We may check a claim, approve it automatically when your sign-in email matches the store's email address on file, ask for proof, and decline or revoke a claim at any time.

3.3 You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit about your business, and for keeping it up to date.

3.4 We may review, edit, decline or remove anything submitted for a listing, and we decide what appears in the directory. A listing is not an endorsement.

3.5 We may email your business a link to confirm or update its listing. Anyone who has the link can update the listing until the link expires, so use it only for your business and don't forward it. If you got a link by mistake, please ignore it.

4.1 "Contributions" means anything you submit to Find Film: confirmations, reports and their notes, store suggestions, listing edits, change requests, film stock requests and feedback.

4.2 You keep any rights you have in your contributions. You grant Gotham West Studios LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable and sublicensable license to use, copy, store, publish, display, translate, adapt, modify, combine with other information and distribute your contributions, in any form and medium, to operate, improve and promote Find Film. To the extent the law allows, you waive, or agree not to assert, any moral rights in your contributions against us or those we license. We don't show your identity with your contributions.

4.3 By submitting a contribution, you promise that:

• it is true to the best of your knowledge, and you are not confirming or reporting something you don't believe;
• you have the right to submit it;
• it is not unlawful, defamatory, harassing, misleading or infringing, and contains no advertising, spam or malicious code;
• it contains no personal information about anyone else, other than a business's own public contact details.

4.4 We may review, edit, decline or remove any contribution, and we don't have to publish or keep it.

4.5 If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.

You must not:

• scrape, crawl or bulk-download listings or Find Film's data, or use them to build a competing directory or dataset, except for general search engines that follow our robots.txt and access we authorize as described below;
• get around rate limits, access controls or other protections;
• probe, scan or test the security of Find Film, or try to get around its security or sign-in, without our prior written permission. If you find a security problem, please tell us through the Contact page;
• overload or disrupt Find Film, or introduce malicious code;
• use Find Film to send unsolicited messages to businesses or anyone else, or to harass anyone;
• use our map service key, or any other part of Find Film, outside Find Film, except access we authorize as described below;
• impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your connection to a shop or to us;
• use Find Film in breach of any law.

You may use an API, MCP connection or other automated interface only where we expressly provide or authorize that access, and only within its documented purpose, permissions and limits. This authorization does not permit bulk extraction, resale, creation of a competing directory or dataset, model training, redistribution, or use of private information unless we separately authorize that activity or applicable law permits it. You must not bypass access controls or rate limits. Third-party data remains subject to its applicable licenses and attribution requirements.

6.1 The Find Film name and logo, and the site's design, text, software and directory as a compilation, belong to Gotham West Studios LLC or its licensors and are protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to use Find Film for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms.

6.2 Shop names and trademarks belong to their owners and appear only to identify the shops.

6.3 Maps and place search are provided through Amazon Location Service. Map data comes from AWS and its data providers, which may include HERE and OpenStreetMap contributors (© OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License). The attribution shown on each map applies to it.

Find Film links to other services, such as Google Maps, Apple Maps, Instagram and shops' websites. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for them.

8.1 You can stop using Find Film at any time, and ask us to delete your account as described in our Privacy Policy.

8.2 We may suspend or end your access, or remove your contributions, if you break these Terms, if needed to protect Find Film, its users or others, or for legal reasons.

8.3 Sections 4.2, 4.5, 6 and 9 to 14 continue to apply after your use ends.

Find Film is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement, and any warranty that Find Film or its information is accurate, complete, current, available or free of errors.

10.1 To the fullest extent the law allows, Gotham West Studios LLC and its members, managers, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, or for a wasted trip, arising from or related to Find Film or these Terms.

10.2 To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims arising from or related to Find Film or these Terms is limited to US$100.

10.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

To the extent the law allows, you will defend and indemnify Gotham West Studios LLC against third-party claims, and related losses and reasonable costs, arising from your contributions, your misuse of Find Film or your breach of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or Find Film will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living outside the United States, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you may bring proceedings in the courts where you live when those laws allow it.

We will post any change on this page and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we will give notice before it takes effect, for example with a notice on the site. If a change needs your agreement, we will ask you to accept the new Terms before you can use your account to save or remove stores, confirm or report facts, or manage a listing again, and we keep a record of your acceptance. Otherwise, if you keep using Find Film after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms.

These Terms, with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about Find Film. If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest remains in effect. If we don't enforce a term, we have not waived it. We may transfer these Terms to a company that takes over Find Film; you may not transfer them. No one else has rights under these Terms. If a translation of these Terms conflicts with this English version, the English version applies, unless the law requires otherwise.
